Spirulina for kidney, liver, colan detox : aquaspirulina

*Spirulina for liver, kidney, colon detox*:

Our body has its own extraordinary internal detoxification system but it doesn’t hurt to boost that system.

The liver, colon and the kidneys are the three crucial organs involved in detoxing and cleansing our body.

Your first line of defense against toxins is your liver, which acts like a filter in preventing toxic substances contained in foods from passing into your blood stream.

The colon has bacteria that produce both healthy and unhealthy chemicals.

You want to keep your colon flowing regularly since its main role is to flush out toxic chemicals before they can do you any harm.

The kidneys are constantly filtering your blood and getting rid of toxins in the form of urine.

For a detox diet to truly work, you need to maintain these three key organs by nourishing your body with the right nutrients.

Spirulina is one of those nutrients.

It’s full of antioxidants and also aids the liver in detoxifying and contains many elements necessary for a healthy functioning immune system and nervous system.

Here’s some great reasons to include spirulina as part of a healthy lifestyle, whether you choose to detox or not:

1. Spirulina is known to be alkalizing to the body, which boosts liver function, a necessary element while detoxing.

2. Spirulina contains chlorophyll which is used for “detoxification” by helping remove toxins such as heavy metals and other pollutants from the blood.

3. Spirulina is often alternated with chlorella for detoxifying the body.

4. Spirulina is high in B-vitamins: vitamins B-1 (thiamine), B-2 (riboflavin), B-3 (nicotinamide), B-6 (pyridoxine), B-9 (folic acid).

5. Spirulina is high in other vitamins and minerals, including vitamin E, manganese, zinc, copper, iron, and selenium.

6. Dried spirulina contains 8 mg calcium per 1 Tablespoon serving, which is more than raw spirulina.

7. Spirulina is rich in protein. In fact, amino acids make up 62% of spirulina and provide 4 grams per 1 Tablespoon.

8. Spirulina contains gamma linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid. The only other place it is found is in a mother’s breastmilk. It has amazing anti-inflammatory properties especially when taken with other quality Omega-3 supplements.

9. Spirulina has potent antioxidant activity, particularly phycocyanin and beta carotene—antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage.

10. The very high concentration of bioavailable iron makes it excellent during pregnancy and for those with anemia.

SPIRULINA for live detox

*Spirulina for liver detox*

Spirulina is a blue-green algae that contains up to 70% protein.

The green color comes from chlorophyll and the blue green color comes from phycocynanin.

Spirulina was the main power food for the ancient Aztecs and gave them energy and stamina.

It is a complete protein containing all eight essential amino acids.

Protein is an important component of Phase II detoxification.

A diet low in protein will inhibit phase 2 detox (watch out for going on those weight loss detox juice fasts for too long!)

It is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E and K.

There is some evidence to  suggest that the antioxidants such as selenium, chlorophyll, carotein and Vitmains E and C in spirulina can help protect against fatty liver damage.

Spirulina appears to be effective in reducing LDL (bad) cholesterol  and increasing HDL-C (good cholesterol).

In other words, spirulina serves to protect our liver from the consequences of a high fat, cholesterol and alchohol diet

Spirulina also contains sulphur bearing amino acids such as cysteine and methionine which help the liver detoxify poisons such as carbon tetrachloride in the phase II detoxification pathway.

Honey for athletes: lomi honey

Honey for athletes:

Consuming carbohydrates before and during exercise can help improve your performance.

Before exercising, these carbohydrates should be in the form of a snack, while during exercise it should be a sports drink.

Following exercise, protein and carbohydrates should be consumed within two hours.

Not all carbohydrates successfully serve this purpose.

This is because different types have varying affects on the delivery of carbohydrates to your muscles and elicit different hormonal responses, according to the February 2002 issue of "Strength and Conditioning Journal."

Many athletes opt for sports gels to satisfy their carbohydrate needs prior to and during exercise.

However, honey may be just as effective. When compared to placebos, sports gels and honey helped athletes to generally perform faster in time trials.

In addition, athletes consuming sports gels or honey are able to generate more power in the last stretch of exertion, according to a double-blind randomized controlled trial in the March 2004 issue of "Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research."

HONEY BEE HAS 5 EYES : LOMI HONEY

Honey bees has 5 eyes:

Eyes – Incredible as it may seem, the honey bee has FIVE eyes, two large compound eyes and three smaller ocelli eyes in the centre of its head.

Bees need eyes not only to pick up colors and UV markings in flowers, as well as shapes, but also to navigate.

Thus the two sets of eyes are adapted to perform different tasks simultaneously.

The two large eyes at the side of the head (known as 'compound eyes') are used for picking up shapes and colours in the immediate environment, whilst the three small eyes on the top of the head (known as the 'ocelli') are important for navigation and orientation
